Come and see the wonders of aviation that had its roots here on Long Island. The Cradle Of Aviation located at Mitchell Field in Uniondale explores the early days man first lifted off the ground in wood and fabric draped crafts to the days of lunar exploration. The Cradle Of Aviation is also home to a 3 story high IMAX theater, which will put your head in the clouds while you have your feet firmly planted on the ground. After enjoying the sites, sounds and activities that the museum has to offer, be sure to stop by the Red Planet Café for a quick bite, or maybe stop by gift shop and bring home a souvenir of your visit

Museum - 10 am to 5 pm, 7 days per week (Due to limited capacity, timed tickets may be issued)
IMAX ® Theater shows - 10 am to 5 pm, every hour on the hour, Seven days per week (Summer hours: 10 am to 6 pm)
